Why has service degradated so much in my area?
I grew up in DeWitt County Texas, and I still often travel to Cuero TX (located in DeWitt County) for my work.
Growing up, I and all of my friends and family all had Cingular (before it became AT&T) ...because Cingular, hands down, had the absolute best coverage and service in area. No other carrier came close...
-BUT... Over the past year or two, the coverage and strength of coverage has gotten progressively worse in 77954 zipcode out outside areas. AT&T customers cannot make or receive calls/texts in areas that they were always able to before, up till a year or so ago...
And as for internet/data: It's downfall is even more severe. The Cuero Texas area used to have spectacular data/internet coverage from AT&T. Now it is absolutely HORRENDOUS!
Friends with Verizon don't have this problem. Their coverage is perfectly fine. But, as for me, and several other friends and family with AT&T in our area, our service with AT&T has gone downhill. And looking over my Facebook feed past year, I'm far from only customer in 77954 area complaining.
What happened to our coverage? Any plans to restore our coverage?

I have to agree, although I'm in a different area of the country. I'm in zip code 46383, and the surrounding areas, and the service has become absolutely terrible. AT&T used to be the better of the two between it and Verizon, but now they are not. My friends with Verizon have no issues. It's really starting to get annoying and I'm pretty sure my family is going to switch to Verizon once our devices are paid off because that's the only thing keeping us tied to AT&T. It stinks because we have been customers since AT&T was Cingular!
