I am sorry to hear you are experiencing service issues. I use my phone for everything so I understand how inconvenient this can be. I would be happy to assist.
I looked into Birmingham, and the surrounding area and am not showing any out towers. Sometimes a phone just needs a refresh to get it connected again. Please power off the phone completely, wait about 30 seconds, and turn the phone back on.
If you continue to run into issues, please use our Troubleshoot & Resolve tool. Make sure your phone’s correct make & model is selected, and then choose Phone calls for the issue.

AT&T service is out in birmingham near my place of work near Carraway hospital for all AT&T users here. Started yesterday at 7 PM
