Reception in Michigan getting worse and worse!

Does anyone know what is going on or is anyone experiencing the same issues?  I live in southwest Michigan.  I have had att for my provider for over a decade without any problems.  Starting about a year ago the town I work in (Watervliet) started to really struggle with being able to get signal anywhere in town.  I inquired at my local store and she immediately reassured me that everyone else is having the same issue and it had to Dow I th updates being done to the towers.  Here I am over a year later, my phone is absolutely useless anywhere in the city of Watervliet.  In Benton harbor where I live there are several areas all over the city where I lose service, and it seems to extend even all the way out to Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids.  All these places have never been a problem in the past.  The more time that goes on, the more and more I’m struggling with signal all over the place in west Michigan.  If something doesn’t get done about this soon I have no choice but to go to a different provider.

Hello @D28acoustic,

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into these wireless signal issues that you've been experiencing in your area. We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you. What kind of cell phone are you using? What specific issues are you experiencing with your wireless service? Are you unable to make/receive phone calls and text messages? Can you no longer use your mobile data? Do you experience these issues everywhere that you go, or only within the areas that you mentioned? Please let us know. In the meantime, we recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix this. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution. Let us know if this helps.

I currently use an iPhone Xs, and this problem has been on going since
prior to this device when I had an 8s and a 6. It’s not a device issue,
it’s an att coverage issue. It is not a problem everywhere I go. I
experience excellent signal and data rates outside of southwest Michigan.
But I live in southwest Michigan so that’s not very helpful. I’ve also
used the mark the spot app which even acknowledges that there are issues in
my area. After a year of my signal consistently getting worse and worse I
don’t want an a knowledge meant that there is a known issue, I want to know
a proposed solution. The issue effects both data and cellular signal
both. Signal is almost impossible to find in many areas in this region.
All areas that were never a problem for many years.

Just by browsing the boards under this topic, it looks like a systemic issue in highly populated areas that ATT refuses to address.

I live in Sawyer Michigan and am experiencing the same bad signal, used to be fine, I live right off I-94 and have only one bar of signal. Can’t make or receive a call without problems, I am in the same position, ATT needs to do something to fix this or will be forced to change providers. Has been consistently getting worse all the way to New Buffalo

Same. The problem has become so much worse lately. I live in Stevensville and drive between there and New Buffalo and have a giant problem getting service where it wasn’t an issue before.
