You do not need the international day pass to receive texts. As long as you have postpaid service and international roaming, incoming texts are free.

Great question, @AdamD!

Allow us to assist. With AT&T International Day Pass, you'll receive unlimited texts to the world. The more devices on the plan the more you save. Make sure to add the plan to each line on your Unlimited or Mobile Share plan before you leave for your trip.

Additionally, you'll be able to call the country you’re in or any other International Day Pass country and back to the U.S. for no additional charge. Good news is Poland's on our list of International Day Pass destinations.

Hope you enjoy your trip.

Thank you all for your answers! How about the monthly plan? I will be there about a month so that looks like a better choice. Will that also work? Thanks again!

Hello @AdamD,

Thank you for reaching back. We are more than happy to provide you answers about monthly international plans.

Since you plan to be in Europe for at least one month, we recommend you add the AT&T Passport. There are two varieties depending on how much data you need.

Please note: Be sure to remove International Day Pass (IDP) if you intend to use the AT&T passport because IDP takes preference if they coexist. This and more are stated in the terms and conditions.

Let us know if this helps.
