Poor Service Area/Tower Request

Massapequa High School and the surrounding area is one of the largest population dense areas in Nassau County on Long Island.

The AT&T reception is terrible. There are over 3000 people in the High School alone, between employees and students. Many switch service providers because they NEED service (staff) or want (students) on their phones.

Is there any chance the service could be amplified here? Every staff member I have polled has switched to Verizon having started working here and the students say they same once they come from 9th grade to the High School Main campus they switch, this is a huge loss of 10's of thousands as the years cycle forward.

Hi @pleone,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We absolutely want to take a closer look into this.

To best assist, we recommend you provide us the zip code of the area so we can take a look. We also recommend you use our Mark the Spot tool to report the incident in your area. The more individual users report, the better.

In the meantime, we encourage you to make use of the Wi-Fi calling option in lieu of when the network error will be resolved.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Hi @pleone

We currently don't see any service issues in that area. Again, we'd suggest that you and any other AT&T customers experiencing reception issues to create a report in the Mark the Spot app. This goes directly to our tech team, who can then open a ticket to investigate and fix the situation.

Just out of curiosity how did you check the service within the school building as no visitors are currently allowed?

Hi @pleone

We checked the towers in the surrounding area. Is the issue solely inside the school building? Are people able to get service outside?

The building as well as the surrounding few buildings and streets. Specifically going slightly east and west of the school.

Thank you for responding with more details @pleone.

Yes, as mentioned above, the best way for our technicians to be able to manage such a specific scaling of service loss would be to use our Mark the Spot App.

This will allow reporting capabilities to anyone as well as network improvement notifications.
