No longer receiving LTE signals
I have been using my iPhone 6s on ATT gophone for two months now. Recently I have noticed I do not get LTE in areas I did (school, work, interstate). It seems the only place I get LTE is at my house (1 bar). My friend has an iPhone 6s as well that is running on ATT postpaid and they have LTE in the same places I only have 4G. Just an example: I had 4 bars of 4G and my friend had 5 bars of LTE. I know another friend who uses an MVNO on att towers that gets LTE where I don't. Why all of a sudden I no longer have LTE? Should I try to get a new gophone sim card? My iphone 6s has all the bands required by att since I bought it straight from apple, unlocked. I looked at the coverage map, to see that I should have LTE, and it had an asterisk saying that 4G LTE data supported by gophone. I also made sure that my phone settings says LTE for data and voice. I don't know if this matters, I've used field testing on the iPhone at home and I've notcied that my iPhone keeps switching back and forth from band 2 and band 12 on LTE. I can't check the bands when I have 4G.

Hello @calconne!
I appreciate you reaching out to our Community Forums! It’s not a problem to go over further settings with you now.
Have you tried to reset network settings yet on the phone? Also, when you checked the settings, have you also confirmed your APN settings match our network set?
Something easy to try is also a basic reboot. This will refresh the phone and settings.
We also have a great feature called the Troubleshooting tool. It’ll take you through helpful steps which may not have been checked yet.
Let us know how it goes for you! Have a wonderful Holiday season.

I reset the network settings. And I cannot view the APN settings. Woud I need to get a new Gophone SIM Card? My mother's phone gets LTE on band 17, however, I only get 4G on band 12.

Hello again @calconne
I’m sorry to hear you’re still having trouble getting LTE on your iPhone 6s. Thank you for coming back to the thread so we can discuss this further!
If you have reset the network settings on the device and still can only receive 4G, I would suggest replacing your device’s SIM card.
You can get a new SIM Card from an AT&T Company store free of charge!
I hope your new SIM card helps out in receiving an LTE signal again. Thank you and have a wonderful night!

Hey @aggieroadmiles,
I want to thank you for joining our community forums. Losing your LTE signal can be frustrating! I would like to get a little more information from you regarding your device.
Getting a new SIM card can help. Have you reset the network settings on your device? What type of phone do you have?
If all else fails it’s always a good idea to factory reset the device. Make sure to back up your data as this will erase everything in the phone. Visit our Device Support page and pick your Make/Model. Click on the tutorials page and you will find step-by-step instructions on how to backup and reset the phone.
I hope this resolves your issue, Happy Holidays!

Was your “Cellular Data” inadvertently toggled “OFF?” If so, toggle “Cellular Data” back “ON” so that you get LTE again.

I have 2 hotspots that both lost 4g LTE simultaneously in different parts of the city (Miami). Resets don't work. Settings haven't changed. Both have had to be set to 3g in order for any signal to be received but are painfully slow. Please help. Due to the fact that this occurred simultaneously I'm pretty sure the issue is not on my end.
Thanks,
Marcus
