Need help please please please

So I moved to a new location and there is no signal here I can stand in certain spots and it will pick up one bar every now and then. And we have no Wi-Fi so what I am doing is running a free proxy server of a tablet as a hotspot my phone let me connect to the Internet using it but I cannot use Wi-Fi calling and my app won’t work. Could someone please help me get this working. What don’t make much sense to me is T-Mobile Picks up very good out here and it is Also gsm Network I don’t know why AT&T is not working Verizon works also but I believe that’s a CDMA network but anyways back to the point if somebody could please help me fix this. I am using a iPhone if that matters?

Hello, @Zekemike,

Thank you for reaching out. If you haven't yet, power down your phone completely for thirty seconds before turning it back on again. This should help make a fresh, stronger connection if one is available.

You can directly report dropped calls and connectivity issues with the AT&T Mark the Spot app. The app can also keep you informed on known service issues and upcoming wireless infrastructure improvements.

Have a great week.

No I cannot receive calls or text. It aggravated me because it's hard to get service out here. And what Aggravates me the most I called and talked to someone at AT&T I was getting paid two days after my cell phone plan expired and att could not help me keep it on for two days. I would understand if it was a new plan or something But I've had my cell phone plan for years. And Every time I try login into my prepaid account it asks me for a four digit pin and i've tried get a temporary one and everything still. I make this post and someone tried to help me and att would keep taking The post anyways so no could see it. I am really fed up with the whole situation honestly I could not believe that att would do this. I was even going to try to buy a signal booster just Stay with att. I have been with this company for so long I have switch numbers a couple times But just this number it's been years. I just don't know what to say.

If you have poor AT&T reception and two other carriers have good reception you need to switch carriers. AT&T cannot improve your reception overnight. It can take a decade to put up a new tower and there is no Miracle Method of creating a stronger signal. If you have no Wi-Fi , you cannot use Wi-Fi calling.
Switch!

FYI, it sounds like you are on prepaid. Prepaid services cannot be extended because you have no bill and there is no way to defer a payment until a later date.

Most towers are not actually owned by the carrier, but are leases. That Tower down the street May belong to a third party. If AT&T chooses not to activate service on that Tower, there would be good reason for it. Towers cost money to maintain, they may have determined there is not enough business for them in the area to be bothered.
Towers also need clearance before they can turn themselves on. I live in an area with no T-Mobile service, but all the structure is there, they just have to wait until later this spring before they can have permission to turn on those Towers.
Again, switch.
