Losing service every 30 minutes
I keep losing service every 30 minutes or so. I restart my phone, then I have 5g service for like 30 min to maybe an hour and the same thing happens. I chatted with att, they restarted the network, it was good for like 4 hours. Same problem. This happened with my old phone when I switched to att, and they told me I had to get a new phone. I got the newest Samsung, and here I am, with the same issue. I'm at the end of my rope with this. I switched from t-mobile to att because of coverage issues and so far att has been kinda the worst. I'd be grateful for any advice. So it's happened three times today, and then again after the network has restarted. Just no service. And when I use wifi and wifi calling I don't get texts or anything. I'm at a total loss.

It's too bad you didn't come here before you bought a new phone from AT&T. And if you are still within the 14 days buyers remorse, return it and then go back to T-Mobile.
Network coverage is not something that can be fixed by buying a new phone. Either you have it or you don't..
Any Samsung phone that was eligible to work on AT&T would have worked just fine and no worse than a brand new Samsung.
From your description it sounds like you are in a fringe area for 5G. 5G is strong but it doesn't cover you very well so it keeps shutting out your LTE service which is probably the consistent service you need.
Doesnt T-MO buy you out? Yeah, do that.
AT&T may improve in time, but that doesn't help you now

Ah. Thanks for the information. At least someone is telling me like it is. I got the phone back in July of this year. Well past the 14 days. Things were fine until yesterday.
I was in two different places when this happened though. I don't know if one tower is supposed to cover an entire town of 90,000 people but I was pretty far from my house the first two times it happened and the second two times it happened I was at home.

No, they didn’t. That’s not a thing. Whatever it was they did with your line, restarting the network wasn’t it. That would disrupt all customers. Anyway, does your phone allow you to turn 5G off? That could fix your issue.

That's what Harry said that he did. I did save the chat transcript, even though from past experience it doesn't matter to anyone. That's good to know, and I'm not sure if I can turn off 5g. But I'm at the point where I'm looking for ways to move to another provider. Thank you for the information.
