ISP Compatability

I saw on the AT&T Microcell Web page that it is not compatible with satellite ISP. Is this true? If so, why not? I have Hughesnet Satellite Internet.

The 3G Microcell is not compatible with either satellite or wireless internet service (not to be confused with a wireless router) Latency issues will likely be the biggest problem followed by bandwidth.
