Horrible service with full bars?

For the last month or so, but especially the last week...my s8 active will show full bars of 5e, and I can't even send texts or use the internet. Phone calls are a crapshoot...sometimes I can hear & be heard, other times it's awful. I do the majority of my work from my phone. I can't send invoices, or any type of email about 50% of the time. And it's not local to one area, as I travel constantly. I really don't want to have to go to Verizon, but I need my phone to work so I can work!

Hello @fairydustcrissy,

We can definitely provide you with some troubleshooting steps for these wireless signal issues that you've been experiencing. We recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix this. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution. You can also use Wi-Fi Calling from AT&T to talk and text over any active Wi-Fi connection. If you're still having any issues, please use the AT&T Mark the Spot app to report dropped calls, network issues, and receive network improvement notifications. Let us know if this helps.

I continued having this issue throughout the 5 boroughs of nyc and nassau County NY with both regular AT&T and first net (black sim) with an iPhone XS Max purchased from AT&T. I was a customer since the Cingular days.

It has made me switch to Verizon.
