Cellular Data stops working or is very slow in frequently visited area.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro which is running on an e-sim.  I have unlimited cellular data.  I have been visiting a local market area every morning for years and for the past month my cellular service has stopped working in this area.  My wife's phone, also ATT also on e-sim, will have full bars and cellular data side by side by my phone which will not be working.  When I leave the area, my cellular data will start working again. I have reset network settings, Tre-booted phone, and pinged airplane mode many times without much progress.

We know how important it is for your devices to be working and operating successfully on the AT&T network, and we want to help, @jamesfath20.

To better assist, we'd like to gather further details from you:

  • What's the city and zip code of the areas where cellular data is not working? This information will help us confirm if you're in a 5G covered area
  • Have you tried switching from 4G LTE data to 5G or tried resetting your device network settings?
    • This will delete all network settings, returning them to factory defaults. From the home screen, select the Settings app > scroll to and select General > scroll to and select Reset > select Reset Network Settings > select Reset Network Settings again to confirm. Note: To turn LTE data on or off select Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE >.
  • Are you using both devices on the same plan? If not, which plan are you using for your working device?

This information will help us investigate your concerns further so that we're able to find any possible resolutions.

Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums and we look forward to hearing back from you!
