Can’t make or receive calls
I’m roaming on AT&T with a 4g from kenya. It was working well last year. I recently received their message. “Welcome, you are roaming on AT&T. Due to network technology compatibility, traditional voice calls will not work. Please use data, SMS, and app-based calling” some help please

Your phone may be 4G for data, but it is 3G for voice. There is nothing you can do to your current phone to make it compatible. The only way is to switch to a compatible phone.

What help do you think you need? Bottom line, your phone can no longer make or receive calls on ATT because of the 3G network shutdown. You are fortunate your phone is still allowed to roam at all. You either get a supported phone or “use data, SMS, and app-based calling”.

okay, though I’ve 4g network not 3g network, is there way I can make my network technology compatible again so that I can make and receive direct calls like before?
