AT&T Wireless phones get fast busy signal when trying to call a doctor's pager

Our emergency doctor's pager is through American Messaging. When we try to call this pager from an AT&T wireless phone, we immediately get a fast busy signal. When calling the same pager from any other wireless provider it works fine.  Need help asap please?

We want to get your pages to go through when paging the doctors from an AT&T wireless number, tknight321.

We understand the importance of getting the service to go through when paging a doctor. Please refer American Messaging to contact their support on how to correct the busy signal. You can also, view the update on American Messaging Paging regarding the busy signal work around.

We hope this helps! Please reach back out to us if we can help in any way. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Hi Lorie!  Thanks so much for your reply!  I appreciate your taking the time to help us out.  Unfortunately. the workaround does not apply to AT&T cell phones, it addresses LAND Lines.  I called American Messaging and they said it was an AT&T issue because calls from other carriers are able to get through fine.  Any other advice?  Thanks.  Have a good day.

Hey there tknight321, we want to help.

Let’s meet in a Direct Message to get the pages to go through. Please check your Direct Message Inbox (it’s the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).

In the meantime, you can try our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool to see if an over the air update to the SIM will get the call connected.

We look forward to meeting you in a DM to get this resolved for you.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.
