Why do we have no voice calling in our area?

We have 4G/ LTE connectivity, internet good, but no voice calling in our area. 4-5 bars almost consistently. Tried replacing sim cards to 5G, no difference. Replaced phone, same difference. Called AT&T many times, no help. any ideas? We switched one phone to Verizon because of that. The other one is next...

you need to call ATT make sure VoLTE or HDvoice as ATT calls it is enabled on your lines and the IMEI of the devices matches.  Those 2 phones have VoLTE so they should get voice service.  I am assuming the s7 is ATT branded.

The Galaxy worked for the longest time, and it got cut off suddenly. Data still there. No voice calls

Your area has had 3G shutdown and the S7 is not ATT branded so it won't get VoLTE but the other phone should as long as the IMEI on the phone matches what is on the account.

It ends up being whether or not the phone is compatible with VoLTE. That solved the issue. It must be they are shutting down the towers for 3G, and leaves us with working toward upgrading devices...
