Very Unhappy Customer
I recently had an opportunity to travel to Europe. I have a monthly plan for my Go Phone Smart phone which includes a data plan. I was unable to get any service overseas and had to call for support. It was brought to my attention that a Passport Plan was needed to use my phone on my travels, BUT that it was not available for a Go Phone. I find this information unacceptable. A regular smartphone account is offered to pay extra to get this plan, but not I. There is no reason why I should not be able to get a plan like this just because I do not have a “post-paid” account on my phone. You should treat ALL of your customers equally, especially when it comes to what plans a smartphone can have. I pay just as much as other smartphone plans offered by your company and have been excluded from options because my phone has a Go Phone account. I used to think that AT&T had a great reputation, but not anymore. I will now be considering switching to another wireless provider.

Hello @baron94
Go Phone options are generally very different from Post-Paid plans. In most cases Go Phone plans are cheaper, and they don't require a credit check, but they have some limitations... At this time AT&T Go Phone accounts only support international roaming in Canada and Mexico.
If international features are important, you can switch your account to a Post-Paid plan with the same phone number. That will provide you with some other benefits, like an ability to save on equipment or finance phones, insure phones, add other devices to your plan (like tablets) and of course the AT&T Passport feature.
If you want to explore that option, just stop by a corporate AT&T store for assistance. Please keep in mind that the credit check will be required and there may or may not be a deposit requirement.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Dmitriy
