use of an older AT&T sim card for a NEW wireless prepaid plan

I had issues porting my ph# to a new provider. My AT&T service was cancelled automatically when this process was started, but since I'm having problems, I decided to stay with AT&T.  I'm hoping that I can use the same SIM card that was removed yesterday (I still have it), and go with a prepaid AT&T wireless plan (the $300/yr plan).

Thanks.

No, you can’t use that SIM card, you will need a new one. You also are not eligible for the $300 plan unless you are activating a new line meaning you are porting your number back to ATT or getting a new number. If the port never completed, you may have lost your number.
