Unable to setup Autopay in AT&T Prepaid

Have been trying to setup an autopay for the past few days.

But the website throws the attached error.

 

I have visited an AT&T store and they are saying that I need to wait and try again another day.

I know this is a bit of a revival of 'dead' thread, but frankly I felt no need to make another thread when i am experiencing the same issue. The only difference is I've recently figured out through a specialty department that deals w/ accounts and billing what the deal was due to a compromise I suffered w/ someone stealing a phone I had w/ my number about a decade ago (I call att/cingular back then and they 'cut-off' that sims card & got another phone & new sims--kept same #). Never knew how severe the issue was until the specialist told me essentially due to some suspect attempts at some trying to add/renew on my number (unbeknownst to me) has made it so that I can't even use the service now (or at least that's basically what rep told me) and I can never setup autopay or even pay online.

 

But the part that annoys me the most is the unacceptable, lack of communication over such a long period of time out of all these years of holding this account/# none of this was ever communicated to me EVER--that was until I could use the service & wanting to dig into way did all of this come up. You all at ATT need to do better by your 'prepaid' customers. I don't expect much now, but I just had to vent this bit. So I guess I'll just continue w/ how I used to also get my minutes minus the saving (though it is still infuriating).
