Unable to set up voicemail

Voicemail setup says phone number not stored on SIM, unable to set up voicemail.

Checking "About Phone" -> Phone Number says "Unavailable"

SIM status -> Phone Number on SIM "Unknown"

It makes and gets phone calls fine, and data works fine.

I was able to set up my voice mail by following some instructions I located on Google.

Under SIM on the phone, it still says Phone Number on SIM: unknown

so I get an error when trying to set up visual voicemail app, but I am not worried about it.  Ill wait until covid is over and just go by the store.
