Stock Android message occasionally

I occasionally get a message that says "unfortunately, stock Android is not working. I have a Maven 2 GoPhone. I can restart my phone and the message is gone until the next time. It seems to happen more when I go to homepage and when I list my pages and clear them.

Greetings @Evildead,

It can be difficult to use your phone the way you want when you’re constantly getting an error message. I understand the concern. No worries, though! I am here to help out. Let’s get started!

Stock Android looks to be your phone’s operating system. There are a few methods we can try to get this message gone for good. To start, you can clear the cache and/or force stop the application. Just visit Apps > Usage Manager > Close All. You can also locate the stock Android app on the list, select it and try to clear the cache. Afterwards, just power cycle your phone and test it out.

You can also place the device in Safe Mode to see if any third-party apps could be the reason for the error message. Here are the steps to place your Maven 2 in Safe Mode:

  1. Power the phone off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button.
  3. When the ZTE logo displays, release the Power key.
  4. Immediately after releasing, hold the Volume Down button.
  5. Keep holding Volume Down until the phone finishes rebooting.
  6. Release the Volume Down key when you see Safe Mode appear in the lower left corner of the screen.

Once the phone is in Safe Mode, test it out to see if you continue receiving the error message. If you do, a third-party app is the culprit. I would recommend uninstalling your apps one by one to attempt to weed out the correct one. Just power your phone off and back on again to release Safe Mode.

I hope these options help out! Take care, and have a beautiful day!

Thank you for your suggestions. But someone I talked with on the phone suggested that I uninstall the last app that I downloaded and see. I actually deleted the last 3 apps. I tried a couple of days to make sure the error didn't come back. I downloaded one of the apps and waited a couple of days. No problems. I haven't downloaded the third app yet. I'm thinking of choosing a similar one instead. I am going to keep your suggestions just in case the same problem occurs. Thank you again for your help.

I receive it on my L.T

E. phone occasionally also. But would it hurt my phone if I just ignored it and did nothing about it?
