Spam Text Messages
Recently I started receiving all of these texts that contain only the word "download" with an arrow and they are sent from either a 10-digit number or an email address but these particular text messages won't allow forwarding so I cant figure out how to send them to Att's Spam Number (7726) to report. I do have Call Protect & Mobile Security installed. Would anyone know how I can accomplish this? Also, any advise on receiving these types of messages are much welcomed.
Thank you for your time.

We understand the importance of reporting spam and fraud alerts in order to protect your personal information and safety @Sarecee66, so we'd like to share some other helpful resources.
Continue to report spam alerts to 7726 (SPAM). When you're unable to forward these messages, report these spams alerts using our report unwanted calls & texts form.
Also, you can check out additional Fraud & security resources.
We hope these resources are helpful.

I have the same problem. I am receiving periodic spam messages from an email address. I cannot forward to 7726 because that tool only accepts phone numbers. I also tried the unwanted calls and texts form, but it has the same problem: it isn't designed to log unwanted texts from an email address.
How do I report unwanted texts from an email address?????

Copy the email or type it in manually to the AT&T’s fraud number. I’ve had to send numbers and messages separately before.

The only problem, one of my contacts has the same four digits in it for a family member as the spam number so every time I try to text it to AT&T, I would actually send it to her.

So, the question was never answered. These intrusive spammers have gotten smart and past the ATT spam reporting option. So obviously smarter then ATT techies.
The question now is how to report spam texting when it comes from an email and not a phone number?

I accidentally deleted my 7726 spam reporter for text. I also deleted recent text. How do I get it back so I can use? When I try to report 7726 it doesn’t go through and no response from ATT that they receive it

So it has been established through multiple comments that there is no way to forward these texts that have been generated through email accounts, that continue to harass and offend ATT wireless customers. The gratuitous ATTHelp response directing those affected to report the incidents using the 'unwanted calls and texts form' sidesteps the issue, as most of us are getting dozens of these unwanted texts EVERY DAY. So the question is, WHAT IS ATT GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS PERVASIVE ISSUE? WHAT IS BEING DONE WITH THE INFORMATION THAT IS BEING REPORTED TO ATT USING THE 'UNWANTED CALLS AND TEXTS FORM'? ATT NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION AND PROVIDE A USER-FRIENDLY, DIRECTLY-ACCESSIBLE METHOD FOR CUSTOMERS TO PERMANENTLY BLOCK THESE ANNOYING EMAIL-GENERATED TEXT MESSAGES!!!!
