Re-porting phone number after cancellation

Hi,

On Oct. 21, I placed an AT&T prepaid plan order and would like to port my number from another service provider to AT&T. After submitting and getting confirmation letters, I realized I needed to use another credit card and submit a cancellation. The cancellation is successful, but after that, while I want to re-place a prepaid plan order and port my number, it shows "Looks like a transfer request is already in progress for this number." It has already lasted for several days (13 days actually). How do I handle this situation? Or do I just need to wait longer to proceed?

Thanks,

Eric

Welcome to the AT&T Family ! We see you're encountering an error while trying to replace your order and port over your number.

Let's direct you to the Porting Activation Center (PAC) at 888.898.7685. The PAC team will look into where you are in the porting process and will address any errors they discover.

Also, you can manage your orders by accessing the AT&T Order Management Portal.

Feel free to reach back out if you have other questions.

Thank you for connecting with the A&T Community!

Thanks a lot. The rep is professional and fully solved my issue. My prepaid sim card is full functional now.

For people ordering prepaid sim card and porting existing number (and cannot activate the sim card by yourself), the only way to activate the prepaid sim card is to call the support center and ask a rep for help.
