In order to unlock your prepaid phone as a prepaid user you had to have use the phone for six full months of paid AT&T prepaid service. If you were not sure that it’s been 6 completed months of prepaid service and AT&T is just going to deny the unlock anyway.
The unlock request link is below.  There is no text message sent there is an email sent. Make sure you correctly enter your email address and verify within 24 hours.

Hi there, coodysoto!  We understand that while on vacation, you purchased an AT&T pre-paid phone and then took that phone back home to Chile and now you want to use it there correct?

The requirement for AT&T prepaid to be unlocked is:

  • Is an AT&T PREPAIDSM phone that has had paid service for at least six months.

You can find out more about the device unlock requirements by reading over the information that is contained in the Get info about device unlock eligibility  article.

Now since you are out of the country, you might need some international assistance. We do have a team standing by that will be able to help you. That teams information is located below.

To help you while you’re out of the country, call +1-314-925-6925 (free from your mobile device) or chat with us by clicking on the Contact Us link.

We want to thank you for using the AT&T Community Forums. You are welcome to come back anytime you need us.
