Please help, upgraded the prepaid plan on my unlocked iPhone 5, now data is not working at all :(

Hello all,

For the past year I have been using my factory unlocked iphone 5 with the $40 smartphone prepaid plan [500 minutes + 500 MB of data] perfectly fine, I was getting LTE all the time. That all changed when I went to the AT&T retail store to upgrade to the $60 plan [unlimited talk & text + 2.5 GB of data], I stopped getting internet at all!

I went back to the store for help and they could not fix my problem, they said that the system has iphone 5 for my wireless device with the correct IMEI number. After that I spent a long time on the phone with technical support with the same result, they suggested resetting everything but no help at all.

I am suspecting that the person who changed my plan did something wrong in the upgrade process, I'm saying this because when I login to change my plan it suggets the basic phone plans and nothing about the smartphone plans, if this is the case it would make sense that the network is treating my iphone as a basic phone with 3g data working for a couple of minutes then stopping and imessage not working over cellular. Also it searches for cellular network very often unlike the previous plan, another thing that I noticed is that I am unable to see verification messages sent from my bank like I used to on the previous plan.

I tried to be as detailed as possible, any help would be really appreciated as i have been lost without cellular data for a week already, thank you.
