Number Transfer Ridiculousness

I am in the process of a port out. I am transferring my number from Boost Mobile over to an AT&T Prepaid account. I got my AT&T SIM card in the mail and inserted it into my unlocked iPhone. Since then, I’ve looked everywhere on how to activate my phone’s service. After a few days, I’ve finally found this forum with a little more insight. I found a link on how to check my phone number transfer status. I clicked Number Transfer Status, seemed simple enough. It directed me to a myAT&T login page where it asked for my username and password. I do not have an account so I clicked “Don’t have an ID? Create one now.” To create an account, it requires you to have an AT&T number. I do not have an AT&T number because I am in the process of porting it over in which I am trying to check the status of?! I. DO. NOT. UNDERSTAND.

Check out these steps on activating your new phone. This will also give you the option to start a plan if you have not already done so.

Since you seem to be unable to check the status of your Port online then you can give that department a call at 888-898-7685 Sun-Sat, 7am-1am ET.

Once you have checked on your Port, you can call our Prepaid team to ensure your account is fully set up at 800-901-9878 Sun-Sat, 7am-midnight local time.
