Why does my Advanced Active Armour say I don't have my mobile Network turned on when I do?

We're here to assist you with using ActiveArmor without constantly running into this notification Davidson52.

First we would like for you to uninstall and reinstalling the app, as that's one of the main ActiveArmor troubleshooting methods you can perform. You can also try force stopping the ActiveArmor app, clearing the cache, or updating the app through your device's app store.

We understand that you already have mobile data turned on for ActiveArmor, however try going into your device's Settings > Apps > ActiveArmor > Toggle Cellular Data off and back on. Once you've done this, check and see if you still get the notification telling you to turn data on in ActiveArmor.

Let us know if the error message persist.

I tried all of the above, which, thank you for giving me the advice, but it didn't work. I took it to the AT&T store and the employee said it was because I have it on WIFI at home it shows my mobile data is turned off. In the store it still said mobile data turned off, in the middle of half heartedly trying to "help" me, another employee came and interrupted our conversation 3 times in the middle of me talking but I was patient, then the employee who was helping me had a phone call and took the phone call mid sentence so I said you're obviously not interested in helping me so I won't bother you. She stated that my phone was low end junk anyways although I had just bought it a month ago. I bought what I could afford and I purchased the advanced Armour Protection. I appreciate you at least trying to help me, I have the Motorola 5g 2022, apparently if you're not a post paid customer, the employees at the AT&T store do not want to help. I had transferred from Boost Mobile and at the time Boosts internal system was down and I couldn't have my number ported until it was back up, the AT&,T lady over the phone told me there would be no problem to port my number over after Boost was back up and I got a transfer pin and my account number, which I did, I called and was told I had to go to the AT&T store to have it ported, they would not help me then either, they said they couldn't port any prepaid service. So I thought leaving Boost was going to be better but AT&T has been a nightmare, at least at Boost in the store you get help and not treated less of a customer because you're not a post paid customer, but thank you for trying to help.

Call the port activation number to Port your number.

888.898.7685.

From the response you got it sounds like you were dealing with an authorized retail store which may look just like AT&T except for the notation somewhere on the front of the building that says authorized retailer.

Whether or not active armor Works has nothing to do with your phone. The free version is a cheap program. Service providers continue to sell these supposed Security Programs to customers even though they have never done anything. It's a extra couple of bucks that they skim off customers for these programs because the free program doesn't work well they talk you into upgrading to the paid subscription version..

The fact is if you are using a mobile device it is already secure unless you do something to make it insecure.

Things like using a screen lock,  use a non cloud based password program (Enpass is one) don't reuse passwords.  Use two factor Authentication, or even better multi-factor Authentication, using code generators.  Don't allow yourself to be phished.   Delete spam text, email etc.

It is a little extra work to keep things secure, but these programs like active armor purport to do it for you when they really can't. Delete the program. Spend a couple of minutes online looking for password storage programs and updating your own personal knowledge on cybersecurity.

Thanks so much for this information, I am paying for it and I really appreciate you letting me know it is just to scam a few more dollars from me.

Yeah, but do take cyber security lessons, or look up ways to secure your phone, apps and not get phished.

Hello Davidson52, let's look closer into why your Advanced Active Armour is saying you don't have your mobile network turned on.

We want to get you into a Direct Message to review further. Check your Direct Message Inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).
