Lost SIM card
Hello! I lost my SIM card while I was overseas and now I'm trying to recover my phone number because it has a lot of accounts attached to it. I went to the ATT store and the lady said she doesn't have access to my account for some reason. Something along the lines of "The name shows up as Prepaid Customer and even if I scan your ID it won't let me into the account" and "I don't have the credentials or power to log in." Then, she told me to call customer service, but every time I call the phone hangs up. Can I get some help anyone??

How long ago did you lose the SIM card and when did you last refill your account? A prepaid account is automatically closed if the account balance is $0 for more than 60 days after service expires. If your account was closed, there is no way to get your number back. If your account is still open, calling customer support won’t help, you need a replacement SIM card. You must go to a store for that. I’m going to presume you were in an authorized retail store, find a corporate owned store.
