How to retain your number (prepaid, daily plan)

Hi, I am currently on a prepaid/daily plan and about to go overseas for about 6 months.

Can I somehow keep and use the current number it when I return?

I will not use the number(sim) nor be on a roaming service when in overseas.

Thank you.

Yes - before you leave, make sure you make a one-time refill of $100, or put $25 on it and leave auto-pay on so that it will refill another $25 every 90 days.

Accounts are closed if the account balance is zero for 60 days

Prepaid has no access outside of the United States, and there are no roaming plans for most other countries.

Thank you for your comment!

Just one more question - does making a refill of $100 mean that I keep the money in my account, which I can later make use of, perhaps when I come back?

Thank you!

Yes, the $100 refill is good for a year, It will still be there to use provided it doesn’t get used paying for a monthly plan. As long as you stay on that daily plan, it won’t get used.

Thank you so much!!

Just last question - does the amount have to $100?  Is there like a minimum?

It has to be $100 for a year expiration. A $25-$99 refill expires in 90 days. Since you will be gone 6 months, 90 days won’t work for you.
