How the h*ll do I end my subscription from Europe?
I'm writing this in quite an agitated state. Last month my girlfriend and I got two $40 prepaid packages to use with our phones while on a 3-week trip through the US. The employee at the AT&T store told us it would be no problem to cancel the plans after our stay in the States.
But now we're back home, and wouldn't you know it: it's absolutely impossible to get rid of these things. Logging in on the AT&T website with phone number and PIN-code doesn't work, as countless other users on these forums already pointed out. I called the international customer support number, but that accomplished nothing and only resulted in confusion and the representative hanging up on me after 15+ minutes and almost €30 in international phone charges.
So: how the heck do I cancel my prepaid plans AT&T?

You were supposed to either pay the full plan cost, no auto pay discount, or remember to turn auto pay off before leaving the US. That terminates your $45 plan.
If you were unable to communicate, “turn off Auto pay” on both accounts by calling, your other option is to cancel the card used to pay for service.

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, the store employee didn't tell me we needed to turn off Auto Pay before leaving the US.
In the mean time, I contacted AT&T through @ATTHelp on Twitter, but all I got was a generic reply - the person who wrote it apparently didn't even read my message. So I called my credit card company just now and had my card blocked.
It's really infuriating to see how AT&T can basically scam (either intentionally or out of neglect) dozens of foreign customers like me and get away with it.
