How do I stop my account becoming inactive?

I use my GoPhone account rarely, mostly when I go on vacation or when traveling (otherwise, my wife and I are together and I use her phone.)  When I am on vacation, I am a heavy user for about 3 or 4 weeks, then I am inactive for about 8 months.  I am on a pay by the minute plan.  How do I stop my account and mobile number going inactive and being cancelled, without wasting money?

The only way to keep your account active and avoid being cancelled is to keep a positive balance on it. Any account with a $0 balance for more than 60 days is cancelled. The problem with keeping money on your account, though, is refill cards expire if not used. Expiration dates vary according to the refill amount. You'll have to decide if it is worth refilling and possibly expiring before you use it.
