How can I stop spam texts

I repeatedly get texts from the number 32665 on the phone I use for my daughter when she is out of the home. I would like these to stop. is there a way to block this sender. The messages are always in spanish and have the word Facebook in them. I don't want my daughter to accidently click on these. The phone is an alcatel smartflip. Any help would be greatly welcomed.

Hi @pollysmom13,

Thank you for reaching out. We'd love to take a closer look into your inquiry about the SMS notifications from 32665.

If you have a Facebook account, there is an option in the settings to receive notifications via email or text messages. If you choose to receive notifications via text, Facebook will send text messages (SMS) to the number registered on the account. Their message sender is 32665.

Please check your Facebook profile or check with anyone using this phone number if they have it linked to their profile and then turn it off.

We hope this information was helpful and please reach back if you need further assistance.

I am a non Spanish speaking individual and the Facebook messages are not being prompted by me. These spams began one day after activating my phone which isn’t attached to any Facebook account in fact I do not use Facebook. However I will receive these Facebook password reset codes repeatedly, sometimes 5 or six in a row. They are intrusive and as stated before I do not want to have my daughter accidentally click on them.

The point is, the texts are coming from Facebook. If it’s not your Facebook account associated with your number, then someone else’s account is associated with your number. Obviously, the texts keep coming because the person trying to reset their password isn’t getting them and keeps resending. Unless your phone lets you block that particular number, there isn’t much else you can do. You can try contacting Facebook.

Thank you for reaching back @pollysmom13.

Concerning spam text, please note that they originate from a source to which the number has been provided especially if they come from one specific source. Also, the previous owner of the line may be Spanish speaking and may have linked the number to their Facebook profile.

Now, our recommendation will be to find a way to manually block the number in your messaging app settings if possible. You can also use some spam blocking apps like Call protect from AT&T (especially for spam calls) and other third party spam blocking apps.

We hope this information was helpful.

The phone is an Alcatel flip phone so apps are not available for it.
