Can't send text from Canada

I'm on the $45 prepaid plan. And am now traveling in Canada. I can make and received calls and also receive text messages. But when I try to send a text message I get this back:
Cricket here! We are sorry but your text message failed. Your destination is not supported from your current location.
Now this is crazy because I'm on att. So where does cricket come in here? Maybe it's because I was with cricket 2 months ago, but then I ported over to Att prepaid, so cricket shouldn't be involved. I spoke to various reps but they couldn't help me and kept on transfering me around. My husband's phone is fine so I tried swapping my sim and his phone but it didn't help. His sim in my phone was fine while my sim in his phone can't send messages. the problem is with my sim or some setting within att. Crazy!

I spoke to a senior rep named Judy she was trying to help me and promised to call back. But never did. At&t's customer service is just terrible. they don't seem to care one bit.

@Delulu It sounds like you are still on Cricket. Maybe you set up a second account on GoPhone?

 

This is the AT&T community forum (not AT&T support), we cannot look up your plan so if you want specifics that will really help you, please share more details with us. We can probably make great suggestions, but without the right info we're only guessing.

Thanks for your reply. My sim card is at&t I pay at&t, my account is on at&t.com. how am I on cricket?
This problem is bizzar. What other details do you need. Who could help me with this?

What am I supposed to do? This is crazy! No one from At&t is getting back to me. This bizarre issue seems to be in the port in from two moths ago that didn't totally complete. Who could i contact?

This is outrageous!! The only support offered for gophone customers is this forum. I got no help at all. I tried messaging @ATTHelp but they are just ignoring me. I called in numerous times but was only promised that a supervisor would return my call, but that never happened. It's very frustrating.

The regular port in number. I log in to at&t and even have a multi line discount. I know it sounds bizzar. But this seems to be a network issue.

I called the porting department, they see no issues.

Shocking that this issue is still not resolved. I was om the phone with at&t for two and a half hours today. And nada.
