Cannot access to data with prepaid card

I purchased a prepaid card and a plan with 8 GB per month, but it never worked. The staff in the store spent hours without finding out a solution. He told me that there's a problem with the company's system and it would be solved by the end of the day. But it still doesn't work the other day. I went to that store again and the other staff told me it's because my purchase is not valid and I had to buy another one. But they did took my money the first time, as I just checked. I still cannot use this card after wasting so much time and money, not to mention thr terrible customers services.

Can you provide a few more details surrounding  "..the other staff told me it's because my purchase is not valid"?
