ATT prepaid multiline: When does the new plan start? When do I pay for it?

Hi,

I just get my prepaid plan (35/Mo) today (Aug 29, 2018) and am thinking about adding some of my friends and switching together to another plan (55/Mo). However, I have the following concerns:

1. When will this new plan start for me? This billing cycle or next?

2. If I send out invitations to my friends and they accept them on difference time, when will this new plan start for them? Right away or next billing cycle of me?

3. Will I have a new balance to pay for right away as I switch to that plan and as my friends accept the invitation? When should I pay for that balance? What would happen if I don't pay for that right away?

Thank you so much!

1. When will this new plan start for me? This billing cycle or next? When you change your plan, the old plan terminates and you lose all remaining days. The new plan starts as soon as you pay for it. If you have autopay, you are charged immediately.

2. If I send out invitations to my friends and they accept them on difference time, when will this new plan start for them? Right away or next billing cycle of me? Again, any plan change starts immediately, once paid for. When they accept your invitation, you will be charged for their plan from that point to the end of your current plan but you also get a credit for any days they had left on their plan. This is done to get all lines on the same renewal dates.

3. Will I have a new balance to pay for right away as I switch to that plan and as my friends accept the invitation? Yes, see answer to 1. When should I pay for that balance? You must pay right away. What would happen if I don't pay for that right away? If you don’t, you won’t have service.

Thank you so much!
