Att Go phone usage for an Att Billed acount.
I have a company provided ATT smartphone and is on its last leg but I wont be able to get a new phone for around 6 months. I would like to buy a Nokia 635 go phone for that time period and switch out sims. After 6 months I would like to give it to my wife, who has a seperate ATT account on a mobile share plan or unlock it for resale. Is there any way to do this since it wont be tied to an account with my name on it, or can I register under my wifes account so I can eventually unlock it. What is the best way to do this or is even possible?

Since the phone is purchased outright, it should be able to be unlocked when you are done with it. You will probably have to register it under your wife's account since you may not be able to register it under your company's account.

I’d be happy to help with your unlock! I would agree with @kdfederer on this one. To make the process as easy as possible, I would recommend first adding the device to your wife’s account as in-use. You will then be able to request the unlock as the owner rather than go through the company account.
