AT&T employee asks for PIN

Hi everyone,

Is it a legitimate procedure for an AT&T employee to ask for the PIN of my GoPhone account as a means of account verification?

E-mail communication has been official with him using an att-mail.com address, but disclosing my PIN sounds odd to me.

My hesitation is probably wrong but I want to be on the safe side.

Now I know:

Asking for the PIN as means of verfication is a legitimate procedure.

I got the issue resolved, everything is in order now, and the AT&T employee was truly friendly, konwledgeable and helpful.

I don't know if they can do it by email.
But they do asked for your ID and PIN of your Gophone account when you go to any AT&T store.

Sounds legit to me then since they ask for your PIN in stores too.
