Adding another line

I have a wireless plan of four. Three of which I am paying with an installment plan. 2 the 3 that have an installment plan are prepaid. My question now is why whenever I try adding my nephews prepaid account so I can see if I qualify for another installment its logs me out completely and locks my user id so I can't login without needing to call for a reset password.

Now the phones don’t have to be used on the lines you are paying for, they could be used on prepaid but the lines you are paying for are postpaid

Installment phones cannot be activated on prepaid service as of December 2022.

You are obviously on a postpaid account if you are paying installments on phones.

You cannot add a prepaid line to a postpaid account online or over the phone.

In order to move his AT&T prepaid line onto your postpaid account the phone number must be migrated in a corporate store and a new SIM card provided with his same number.  It is likely your nephew will have to provide his personal account information in order to do the migration. It's probably easier if both of you are present.

Not sure what you mean. Prepaid does not have installment plans. It is not possible for 2 of the phones you are paying installment payments on to be prepaid. Those lines are postpaid. Now the phones don’t have to be used on the lines you are paying for, they could be used on prepaid but the lines you are paying for are postpaid. If you want to move a prepaid line to your postpaid account, that can only be done in a retail store.
