Max subscription did not transfer over
@ATTHelp I am trying to log in to the new Max through provider I no longer have a subcription. I checked my AT&T account and sure enough I still have it under my AT&T, but cannot access it through max. It said I no longer have a subscription and I have to renew. Also, none of my HBO Max profiles that were created in HBO Max are appearing under Max

@mromine823 There is no chat. The DM will be the dialog/message icon to the left of the bell icon. If you have a DM, there will be a flashing red dot on the dialog/message icon.

Our first recommendation would be to view this resource onfrequently asked questions about HBO Max.
Just simply scroll down to the last drop-down that says, "Where I can find HBO Max support and troubleshooting info?", and try to following steps. We're taking this first step, so we can determine what could be causing the sign in error.
Since your HBO Max account isn't working as expected, please try the following:
Use another device to check your internet connection.
Turn your device off and back on.
Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app. Check your device’s app store.
Delete the HBO Max app from your device and reinstall it from your device’s app store.
Also, if you have a retired plan, you won't have access to HBO Max.

They informed me that since my original free subscription was through Directv it was considered a change in my plan when AT&T and Directv split so I lost the free subscription. So I can’t get it even though it is still listed on my plan. Very frustrating.

Then it appears that if you still want Max, you'll have to subscribe to it separately. That's the problem with bundled deals/plans. They don't last forever and if something changes, the first thing you lose are the "freebies". AT&T's billing and services on your account page is usually behind what the reality is because Accounts and IT just don't communicate like they should.
