HBO MAX can't verify my subscription

Hi, I received an email from AT&T stating I am eligible for an HBO Max subscription at no extra charge due to having at AT&T Unlimited Plus wireless plan however when I try logging in to the HBO Max app it's telling me that it can't verify my subscription? Can you help please? Thank you

I have the same problem. I can sign on with my computer, but does not transfer to my TV.

I am having the exact same problem. Just upgraded to the elite a couple days ago and they told me I would be able to login within the hour. Still trying 3 days later. I've been bounced around, hung up on, transferred, and now waiting to hear back from advanced protech support. This is just ridiculous. I wouldn't have even upgraded if I'd known it was going to be like this. I'm getting fed up with AT&T. Constantly dropping calls and having no service in areas, texts not wanting to send, all sorts of dumb stuff. Like why did I even buy the iPhone 11 Pro Max? To stare at it?

this solution will work for some. I was on the phone with HBO for an hour and finally got logged in. my situation is specific . If you have a grandfathered in account with att that is a truly unlimited plan or an older plan in general you have to go to a very specific link. for some reason it only allowed me a free 30 day trial originally which was not accurate to my att subscription. so if you see a 30 day trial offer and believe this to be inaccurate then my fix may also work for you. you must first login through "ATT tv now". I cant remember the exact link but logging in through "att tv now" first, then it allowed me to log in through HBO MAX with no error. If this doesnt work, call hbo customer service because they had a couple other links that may work for your specific problem. What a very round about way to get logged in, but it did work for me. they def. have some kinks to work out, but im happy to have free HBO.

AT&T is doing nothing to provide the service they are being paid for. They have no plans on fixing these problems either.

I've been chatting and calling them for 16 days straight and every time they say they've "opened a ticket with the backend team" and that the backend will get back to me in "2-3 days"...

 

AT&T has no plans to fix this.

They won't bother providing the services we're paying them for.

Their advertisement are lies.

I just got done with a chat with AT&T. I had the same issue for weeks. My issue was that when I logged into the HBO Max app, it said they couldn't verify my account. However, apparently I had to create a AT&T TV Now account to log in. So they instructed me to go to https://www.atttvnow.com/accounts/select-plan. From there click the plus plan, continue through until you get to where you set up an account. Once that's done you can exit out. The agent said he "added HBO to my account" so I'm not sure how that was done. However, I then used the new account ID in the HBO Max app and it worked. For reference, they sent me this link on twitter, https://www.att.com/support/article/att-tv/KM1222548/Let?source=ESSZ0SSPR00T1EsEM&wtExtndSource=20200614185040_ATTHelp_Mobility_TWITTER_3421162543, and then I chose the chat function. He walked me through the whole thing. Not sure why they don't tell you all this when trying to set it up.

THIS IS THE WORST! I have been calling and getting a $15 credit (the cost of HBO MAX subscription if you were to purchase). I will call every month to get the subscription refund if I have to. The worst part is every single agent that i've spoken with plays dumb, like they don't know this is an issue. AT&T has not sent one email acknowledging the complaints.

I have the same issue.  I have DIRECTV with HBO and was told I get HBOMax as part of my subscription.  I had it for a few days, but now all I get is :Can't verify subscription".  No one can tell me how to fix this. - hours and hours of wasted time.

When I was first eligible for the "Free HBO MAX service" on June 2, 2020 based on my ATT Elite wireless account I signed into and set up HBO MAX successfuly.  then  never used it untill trying about a month later. (July 19,2020).

 

Now I can not access HBOMAX on any device at anytime, The error message is that HBOMAX can not verify my account with AT&T..... etc

 

I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with ATT and HBO support. (2 hours each in three sewprate sesions).  Im getting no where . They cant seem to figure the problem out and admitt it.  and say they will send me an email whenthey do,  Im still waiting afte a week !

 

One prior forum posting said to go to ATT.com/my and select: Sign in to HBO MAX .

 

 

Can find no such text or option on the att.com/my  acount site after signing in that says :

"When you sign into myAT&T and select Go to my account, are you able to select Sign in to HBO MAX and follow the prompts to register your account?"

 

When I do attempt to sign in to HBOMAX on any device ( 2 different iPhnes or Windows PC's and selecuing  AT&T as "my provider"   I recive the error massage that they "can not verify my account"

 

I have been not been able to sign into HBO MAX or "Verify my account" since June 2nd 2020, and ATT can not fix it. Top level AT&T and HBOMAX support says "They don't know whats wrong. and that they are having the same problems with their own accounts also".  Told then me they would send me an email when the firgure it out / fix it. Its been a week now and I am still waiting. 

 

What is going on . What a joke of a mess !

 

ALSO  a note: ATT apps and password systems accross all their services, including Directv has always been a nightmare since the aquired Direct TV.

 

Im going to call AT&T wireklss and ask for a credit to my account of about $17 a month untill they fix my access to HBOMAX.  But im not expecying to even get that either !!
