Sign in Solutions
Still having trouble signing in? Below are some useful tips to setup your account.
-
HBO MAX is no longer being offered with new orders of AT&T Fiber services. If you move or change your service plan, you will lose the offer.
- If you have an older Unlimited Cell Phone Plan, you may need to register your service. You can do so at https://www.atttvnow.com/. Once you're on the site, sign in with your AT&T Wireless account information.
- For customers with select grandfathered Unlimited Plans. Have you accessed HBO using your AT&T Internet or U-verse TV sign-in info? If you haven't, go to atttvnow.com/accounts/select-plan. Then, select the Hey AT&T Unlimited customers! blue banner and follow the prompts. If you have, then try using the sign in credentials you used in the past.
- Delete cache & cookies on your browser to make sure a previous login is not saved.
- Try to sign in with another browser or device. For best results, sign in using a web browser on your computer.
- Make sure you are choosing AT&T as your provider.
- Make sure you are using the right ID
- Change your myAT&T password to a different password. Sometimes there is a conflict with your existing password or a special character causing issues. We suggest changing to a password that you have not used in the past. Once registered, you can try changing it back to your previous password.
HBOMAX Standalone
What does standalone mean? If you're not subscribed to HBO with a legacy Mobile plan or Internet service, it is considered standalone.

Hello,
I found the solution.
I had the same problem, I have an Unlimited Plus plan but I could not have access to HBO Max when the description of my plan includes it. But I found the solution. I found this article on the At & T support page. https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1261921
Go to the part where it says "if you have other select AT&T unlimited plans" and follow the instructions.
Apparently the Unlimited Plus plan does not exist, you have to create an account on AT&T TV now
https://www.atttvnow.com/accounts/select-plan?_ga=2.73446802.1617021463.1591049028-1334413330.1589209114
then, select the Hey AT&T Unlimited customers! banner at the top and follow the prompts.
Hope this helps you.

isn’t it funny how AT&T is screwing so many people with this free HBOMAX Scam I also switched my wirelsss plan to Unlimited Elite so I could enjoy HBOMAX only to be told my Ultimate Elite account doesn’t include HBOMAX when I attempted to logon, guess AT&T has different Ultimate Elite Plans and we all got the one they said included HBO by mistake lol!

looks like AT&T is screwing everyone and doesn’t plan on correcting it so Only recourse is to move wireless service to Spectrum I’ve been with AT&T for over 10 years but they just don’t care about customer so I’ll call again tomorrow and tell them switch my plan back until I can move to spectrum for good.

After 3 months of endless calls and jumping onto different att departments. it worked for a friend of mine and mine should work soon - will update if anything changes. I refused to give up, I and my friend have 19 phone lines so either I would have made att pay for my hbomax or I would have simply taken away all the lines to a different carrier. Use this link to select the hbomax premium whihc you want to choose for next 12 months.
https://www.attwatchtv.com/accounts/choose-premium.
Only problem if you started on a different plan and changed it to unlimited elite your account will be set up according to that plan and not unlimited elite which is very weird. it should automatically change to the new one but it doesn't not. so you will have to tell the customer rep to change the status of your plan.

Ok wow that took like an hour to figure out. I have the AT&T Unlimited Plus plan
1. Click this link and sign up at atttvnow.com https://www.atttvnow.com/accounts/select-plan?_ga=2.73446802.1617021463.1591049028-1334413330.1589209114
2. Click on the blue banner at the top that says "hey AT&T Unlimited Customers! ...Let's verify your number
3. Create a new text message on your phone and follow the prompts to text the word shown on your computer screen to the number 2885
4. The screen then automatically updates with a message. On your phone, download the HBO Max app. Click "Already Subscribed? Sign In" Then click "Sign in with TV or Mobile Provider". CLICK ON AT&T TV NOW
5. A message appears "Allow "HBO Max to use your TV Provider subscription? Click Allow. Choose the first option: AT&T TV
6. User ID should be the email address you chose for AT&T Now. It will ask you to link your existing AT&T Now account with Hbo Max account, enter name and email and send you an email with a one time code to the email provided.
7. I cannot stress this part enough. Do not close out of the Hbo Max app to retrieve your one time code from your email/mailbox on your phone, keep the app open with the one time code page! or it keeps sending you back to enter your information over and over creating multiple emails with codes. Open your email on your computer/another device and retrieve the code while the Hbo Max app is up. Enter the one time code. You should now be in.
Besides Hbo Max app / bluetooth to your tv, you can also use that email/pw combo to log into hbomax.com.
Hope this helps

Upgraded my wireless plan to Elite Unlimited purely because they offered HBOmax. Whenever I try to log in to HBOmax I get a message saying my account needs to be verified. I tried chatting with At&T help online and they just keep waiting 20 minutes between responding before asking "have you tried logging into myat&t app or online?" They've made me log in twice. They are just giving me the run around. I'm so disappointed I left t-mobile for this crap.

After hours of trying to get the HBO Max working, not one AT&T specialist could figure it out. I signed up for the Unlimited Elite and I feel ripped off at this point. Nothing they suggest works.

Mine is working as of several weeks ago. I didn't do anything special—just tried logging in again one day and it was all systems go (my plan is Unlimited Choice II). I assumed they got their databases straightened out, but it looks like people are still having problems. Sad.
Great job AT&T! What a masterclass!
