Cannot sign in to max with ATT on iPad since change

It simply doesn’t work anymore and forces use of the app so I cannot use the website either. 
worked fine before change to max app.

Hello, @spridlewv. We understand that you need help logging into the new Max app on your iPad, and we're happy to help. 

Even though you were previously able to open Max in a web browser on your iPad, the new changes require customers to log into the new Max app. Follow the steps below to complete this one-time process: 

  1. Open the Max app.
  2. Tap the Profile icon in lower right-hand corner.
  3. You will be redirected to Get Max screen. At the bottom of the screen, select Sign in to your account.  
  4. Choose Sign In Through Mobile Provider.
  5. A pop up displays: Do you want to “Allow Max to use your TV provider subscription?”
    • Tap Don’t Allow, then AT&T to continue signing into Max using the wireless or Internet sign in credentials.
      • Tap Continue, then enter your AT&T user ID and password.
