Trying to avoid spam calls

I was on the ATT website & apparently clicked on something, indicating I would like to block spam calls. That's all I did, and now I CANNOT RECEIVE ANY PHONE CALLS AT ALL! I had an ATT tech working for 2 hours to try to fix the problem and he couldn't do it. I can't believe this is such a huge, hard-to-fix mess!

Hi there, @Amore22! We understand the importance of being able to receive phone calls and want to help figure this out.

Just to clarify, which phone service do you currently have (Digital Home Phone, Landline, or Wireless)? If you have Digital Home Phone service, you can follow these steps to turn of Call Protect:

  1. Go to your myAT&T account overview.
  2. Scroll to My services and choose Check or manage voicemail on the My Home Phone card.
  3. Select Phone Features.
  4. Scroll to Call Filtering and select Call Protect. Follow the prompts to turn on Call Protect. To deactivate Call Protect, select Turn off Call Protect. Keep in mind, turning it off deletes your call log.

If you have a different phone service, we'll explore other potential resolution options. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate your response.  An AT&T tech came out this afternoon, and fixed the problem in 5 minutes!  As it turns out, somehow it was the "Do Not Disturb" feature that was turned on.  He showed me how you can (from your phone) turn on that feature and several others.  I said, heck, when I don't want to be disturbed, I just take the phone off the hook!  (granted, that's "old school," but it's simple, and it works)
