Removal of easement
I am an attorney in Marshall, Michigan and am working on a project that needs to have a road vacated and an AT&T easement moved/abandoned. Can you please help me with a contact person?

You go to your local governing authority that controls easements, they are the ones who control the size and placement of easements. They would also have the forms for release of easement if it can be released.

It is an easement given by bell telephone years ago and has to be released by the legal successor of bell. Which I am thinking is AT&T. There is no governing authority -
I contacted county and township
officials already

FYI no utility owns an easement, being a lawyer you should know that.

I am not sure if I did something to create hostility and apologize I did. I am looking at title documents granting easements to Consumers Power (electric), Sprint, and Michigan Bell Telephone. I am looking for information about who at Bell’s successor company can release the easement so a structure can be built across the former easement

Did you go to your county in the link provided? That's where you'll find the documents.

Hi there, @lindseyjagboy1. Let's get you the information that you have requested about the easement in Michigan.
In order to move forward, we will need to bring you into the AT&T Direct Message space. You will see a chat icon, next to a bell icon, in the upper right portion of the thread, next to your Forums profile icon. Our next message will appear there.
Looking forward to getting the information that you have requested.
