Old Pacific Telephone Utility Boxes

I live in a gated community in Danville and there are two very old cement utility boxes in our shared yard. One is marked “PT&T” and the other is marked “Pacific Telephone”. We have lived here for 7+ years and have never seen anyone access these boxes for any reason.  There are new big green AT&T boxes down the street where I’ve seen AT&T service trucks working from time to time. We’re wondering how we might get someone to come out and let us know if these old PT&T boxes are still live boxes or if they are defunct and no longer in use. I’ve filled out the tags in this post to the best of my ability.
