Number retention after landline cancelation?
I am going to cancel my landline traditional phone service because it has become to expensive . Can you retain your phone number and have calls forwarded to your cellphone? Any suggestions on how to do this most effectively?

Not unless you keep paying for it. If you have a good wireless signal you could get a wireless home phone, much cheaper than a POTS line. Several companies sell standalone wireless home phones.
