Loose green, brown, orange and blue wires hanging inside my house and need to be connected to the white bridge!
Have some phone jacks in the house that were dissconnected by Comcast to get their Internet as we live in the boondocks and AT&T Internet service did not meet my needs! Can put the wall jacks back in an instant but where do the four color wires (green, brown, orange and blue) go on the white base where all the jacks are hooked up to? Have one jack in place from the floor but have no idea how it was connected to the white bridge? Think at one time the modem was hooked up to this jack to get me AT&T internet and want go get it back to my landline. Do not want to spend a $100 on a tech guy to come out here for less than a half hour to put some loose wires back in the bridge to activate some of my in wall jacks. Has to be a easy way to do this and can test the jack to see if it is working by just adding a phone with a wire provided by AT&T with a plug on the end to snap in.

If Comcast tech disconnected your wiring, call them to send a tech out to correct your wiring.
ATT would be at least $99’charge.
Or call a local low voltage company (electrician) to correct wiring.
If your not going to be using the phone jacks just cut the wire flush and close up the jack/wall plate.

Still stuck with jacks that are not connected to the phone line! Tried hooking up the jack first to the ORANGE wire and no signal. Hooked up the BLUE wire to the jack and no signal! So in order for me to get a signal do the four Cat5 wires have to be hooked to one of the "white bridges with the green board on one side?" Or I try and beg Comcast to come back and reinstall the phone wires they cut? So the BLUE wire holding the Cat5 wires is what? And what is the ORANGE wire for? They both are in a place "called the mess of wires" where I have Co-ax and phone wires leading from outside of the house and wires that will distribue a signal to every room in the house via wires or co-ax. I assume there is a Black wire coming from the box in the front yard that would bring in the main phone line. I thank all of you!

I doubt they'll clean it up.

Thanks for starting your own topic on this. Pictures would help. There's no combination of phone or ethernet cable that have the color scheme you've stated. Again look up phone cabling or wiring on the internet. Four pair cable, which is the most common today, starting with pair one through pair four are as follows. White/Blue, White/Orange, White/Green and White Brown. The whites (tips) may have a tracer of their ring color so the first pair could be White with blue tracer/Blue.
How old is the wiring and again pictures would be a big help, of the white bridge you're talking about also.

@FRIEDY, we understand that you want to have the wire hanging from your wall jack.
We would advise that you reach out to Comcast to see if they will repair. As my thoughts stated in the post AT&T Tech will cost around $99.00 to come out for repairs. You might also want to check out this site for Cable Organizing.
If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach back out to us at AT&T Community Forums.

You white/blue pair is most likely the only pair used for dial tone. Turn your board around so we can see the type of connections you have. Due you currently have dial tone on other jacks in the house? What kind of plate are those round jacks in? Take pictures of both sides of things. Looks like a typical sloppy install. The only way to tell where the wires are going is to tone them or trace them. I think you're over your head trying to do this yourself.

Just the newer version of a punch down block for phone.
Bottom pic, the black wiring on left side green green/white pair should be the input from the NID
Blue pair should be line 1 for phone while orange pair would be line 2 for phones

So should I bother to try and connect the cut wires to the "cut down block? And see if I get any dial tones? So I had connected wires to a test jack at the head end but I assume you need to get power from "cut down block" to the CAT5 wires! So do I try and connect the cut CAT5 wires (blue and white) to the block with the two orange wires? Or should I just pay AT&T the $100 to put all these cut wires back to the jacks so I can add phones to the wall jacks? I thank you.
