Let anyone call us

We have a new BL102 phone and we would like to make it possible for anyone to call us.  SCB has been set to ON which is supposed to do that, but it doesn't seem to work.  Help.

By the way, we tried a method on page 12 of the complete manual, to restart  the voice guide but, even if I follow the instructions carefully, it doesn't like any of my answers.

Hi, @mfroimowitz, we would be happy to help manage your SCB system settings.

 

To allow any calls to come through, we would recommend turning Smart Call Blocker off, as it screens incoming calls.

@ATTHelp You'll have to admit that the verbiage in the note found on page 44 of the manual is poorly written. It's the same verbiage on page 48, they read as follows:

Smart call blocker is on, once you install your telephone. It allows all incoming calls to get through and ring by 
default. You can change the Smart call blocker settings to screen incoming calls. For more details, see Set profile
(page 48).

Better wording would be:

Smart call blocker is on, once you install your telephone. All incoming calls get through and ring by 
default. Once you set up your profile and blocking preferences, you'll need to turn call blocker off to receive all calls.  You can change the Smart call blocker settings to screen incoming calls. For more details, see Set profile
(page 48).

OR something similar.

It worked.  Another question that I have is that the phone now shows 11 missed calls.  Is there some way of deleting this unnecessary message?

I agree that the software and its description is a total mess.  There are just too many options without a description for what they do.

BTW, I could never get your answer to my previous problem to work.  But, suddenly the option to change the language suddenly appeared on the phone and I quickly changed it back to English.

You need to sit down and read through the manual until you understand it. The answer to your question is under Caller ID.
