landline repair

Suddenly, my normal landline phone isn't working and i get no dial tone, and my telephone screen on a portable phone says "no line" (305-858-5640)  Yesterday a lady at AT&T said that she would upgrade my internet speed from 24 MPS to 50 MPS and that a tech would have to make an outside adjustment to my phone lines--I'm wondering if that is the problem--or if he is working on my line right now and has to temporarily disconnect my phone line while he's working.  I have AT&T Uverse service on my TV and Internet and a landline phone that I rely on heavily and since the upgrade involves my telephone lines I'm thinking that might be the problem.  PLEASE correct this ASAP--I don't need the faster 50 MBPS speed on my internet.  I have a pretty old modem and maybe it can't accept a faster internet speed--is that the problem?  My internet and TV are still working fine--it's my landline phone that doesn't work.  As I said, I don't need the faster Internet speed--the 24 MBPS is fine and I wouldn't want to have to change my modem (if that might be necessary to have 50MBPS).  I just want my landline to be working again ASAP!  I rely heavily on my landline--as much as on my iPhone.  I've had this landline for over 50 years--and with the same phone number!

You aren't talking to AT&T and you can't report an issue through this forum. If internet and TV are working and you only have a phone issue than try resetting the modem. If that doesn't work call and report it. Or use the link for troubleshoot and resolve
