I cancelled my "unlimited Long Distance" service 8 months ago but I am still getting charged every Month HELP!
I am a senior Citizen that is vision impaired and I have a serious problem with AT&T Billing not correcting the billing issue that they have also identified and apologized for.......I cancelled my AT&T Unlimited Long Distance back in Sept 2022 - but I am still getting charged every month....And Every month I have to contact AT&T (somewhere in Southeast Asia) and every month they correct the bill, give me a confirmation number as proof of out conversation and issue, and tell me that the problem has been taken care of......only to see the Unlimited Long Distance Charge reappear on my monthly bill again, and again , and again, and again.....
I have records of my conversations and confirmation numbers from the AT&T representatives every month.....but problem never gets fixed! I was even threatened with having my service cut off if I didn't pay up.....the only way I can keep from having my phone cut off is to call AT&T customer service and spend over an hour repeating the same problem that I am having every month, They "fixed" the problem, .. they agree that the issue will is ongoing....adjust my bill.....But then I get charged once again , every month....for the past * months! I am a senior citizen and AT&T is the only service I can get for my landline and it is vital for me to be able to call 911 for help if I need it.
Please, please help me....

With any recurring problem that customer service seems incapable of fixing, I suggest that one open a complaint with the BBB or FCC on their websites. You should get a call within a few days from an AT&T Support Escalation team that should be able to actually correct the issue.
