How to get line cleaned up

I am not an AT&T customer. I have lines going up alongside my driveway that I think no longer go anywhere. I talked to a guy from the power company and he confirmed that they are phone lines and not power lines. They thread through some trees, but a neighbor had one of those trees removed and now the lines sag almost down to touching my fence. Can I get somebody to either remove (if they really aren't used anymore) or at least tighten up these lines? I tried calling the number on this page: https://www.att.com/support/article/local-long-distance/KM1000559/ But the instructions for navigating the phone menu seem to be out of date and anything I try it ends up deciding that I'm calling about my cell phone (I'm not) and telling me to call my mobile provider. VERY frustrating. The chat on this site is no better either.

Are you in the ATT footprint? Zip code?

ATT offers hardwired service in selected areas of 21 states….

other possible telco that might service your area include CenturyLink, FairPoint, Frontier, TDS, Verizon, Windstream, etc.

ATT footprint is basically Ameritech 5 states, Bell South 9 states, PacificTelis 2 states and Southern Bell 5 states. Note some infrastructure areas of each state might be owned by a different telco.

Hello @wjousts, thanks for contacting AT&T Community and Forums.

As we need some specific information, we'd like to move this conversation over a DM. Look out for a chat notification towards the top right corner of your page, next to the bell icon.

Awaiting your response.
