I am trying to change the number of rings on this phone before it goes to voicemail. It is set on 6 but goes to voicemail after 2 rings.

Voicemail is a phone company provided service; the answering machine is your phones service. If you have your phones answering system set for six rings and you're hitting voicemail at two rings, it's most likely your phone companies VM that picking up. Either turn it off or set it to more rings than your phones answering system.
